How do we know that God's love leads to obedience?

1 John 4:21 teaches that the commandment from God is that we should love one another, reflecting the nature of His love. This divine love is not just an emotion; it brings about a change in our behavior. When we are born of God, His love instills in us the desire and ability to obey His commands. Christ’s love fulfills the law on our behalf, as indicated in the gospel, where He states, 'If you love me, keep my commandments' (John 14:15). The true mark of a believer is their transformation into one who loves God and keeps His commandments, as God's love works within them.
