How do we know that God's sovereignty influences salvation?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty is evident as He determines the means and ends of salvation.

The sovereignty of God in salvation is foundational to sovereign grace theology. Scripture reinforces that it is not by human will but according to God's eternal purpose that individuals are drawn to Christ. As stated in Romans 9:16, it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. This shows that God's plan was established before the foundation of the world and that His sovereign grace leads His elect to salvation, ensuring that all appointed to eternal life will come to faith.
