How do we know that God supports those who are persecuted for their faith?

Answered in 1 source

God honors those who suffer for Him, as shown by the apostles' experience in Acts 5.

Acts 5 offers powerful evidence of God's support for persecuted believers. When the apostles were beaten for preaching the gospel, they returned rejoicing—a clear indication of divine strength sustaining them. This reaction illustrates an important truth in sovereign grace theology: God empowers His servants to endure hardships for His name's sake. Moreover, the assurance that if our work is of God, it cannot be overthrown (Acts 5:39) provides believers with confidence in God's sovereignty and providence over all circumstances, including persecution.
