How do we know that Jesus can heal us from our sins?

Answered in 1 source

Through the accounts of His miracles and teachings, we see that Jesus possesses authority to forgive sins and heal those afflicted by sin.

Jesus Christ, in His earthly ministry, demonstrated His authority over sin and disease, affirming that He came not just to heal physical ailments but to save souls. In the case of the woman with the issue of blood, her healing was a physical manifestation of the spiritual healing available through Christ. The miracles Jesus performed were signs pointing to His divine nature and mission—to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). Just as that woman reached out to touch His garment in faith, individuals today are called to reach out to Christ with their sins, believing in His power to cleanse and heal. As Isaiah reminds us, by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), illustrating that true healing—of body and spirit—comes through Him.
