How do we know that Jesus can help us?

Answered in 1 source

We know Jesus can help because He demonstrated authority over sickness and sin, as shown in Matthew 8 and 9.

Jesus’ ability to help us is evident through His many miracles, demonstrating His authority over both physical ailments and spiritual conditions. For instance, in Matthew 8, He cleanses a leper and heals the sick, illustrating that His authority is not confined; it extends to all aspects of human suffering. Furthermore, in Matthew 9:2, He forgives sins, affirming His divine power, which assures us that He can truly assist us in our time of need. His substitutionary death on the cross further validates His authority to help, as it accomplishes the very reconciliation we require.
