How do we know that Jesus fulfilled the role of the Messiah?

The identity of Jesus as the Messiah is evidenced through the fulfillment of numerous Old Testament prophecies, including Isaiah 53, which foretold of a coming Suffering Servant who would be 'despised and rejected.' During His earthly ministry, Jesus not only performed miracles and taught with divine authority but also consistently pointed to His fulfillment of prophetic scripture as a confirmation of His identity. Despite this, the very people who were awaiting the Messiah, including the Jews, often turned away from Him, revealing their misunderstanding and spiritual blindness. Jesus' rejection, as prophesied, serves as a cornerstone of evidence for His messianic role, showing that He indeed met the expectations laid out in the scriptures, albeit in a way they did not anticipate.
