How do we know that Jesus is our altar?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is known as our altar because He fulfills the sacrificial system, providing the ultimate sacrifice needed for our acceptance before God.

The sermon explains that the altar established by God through Moses, with sacrifices laid upon it, prefigured Jesus Christ. The physical altars of the Old Testament are not the basis for worship; rather, they pointed to Christ as the true altar and sacrifice. Jesus bore God's wrath against sin without Himself being consumed, indicating His divine nature as the eternal altar. Thus, believers in Christ possess the right to worship God acceptably because of who Christ is and what He accomplished through His sacrifice.
