How do we know that Jesus is sovereign?

Answered in 3 sources

We know Jesus is sovereign through Scripture, which states that all authority in heaven and earth has been given to Him (Matthew 28:18).

The sovereignty of Jesus is affirmed by multiple passages in the New Testament, particularly Matthew 28:18, where He declares, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.' This assertion not only confirms His divine authority but also solidifies His role as the King over creation and redemption. Additionally, the resurrection and ascension signify His ultimate victory over sin and death, further substantiating His sovereign status. Acts 2:36 reinforces this truth, as Peter proclaims that God has made Jesus both Lord and Christ. Therefore, Christ's sovereignty is established through His fulfilled promises, His resurrection power, and His ongoing governance in believers' lives.
