How do we know that salvation is entirely through grace?

Answered in 1 source

We know salvation is through grace, as Scripture teaches that it is a gift of God, not dependent on human works.

The Bible consistently affirms that salvation is a gift of grace, not contingent upon human effort. Ephesians 2:8-9 explicitly states that it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. This doctrine is vital as it underscores the complete sufficiency of Christ's sacrifice and the futility of any human contributions to salvation. The redeemed in heaven will proclaim that their salvation is a result of God’s own mercy and love, rather than any merit of their own, leading to total dependence on His grace. This assures believers that their standing before God is secure and rests entirely on His faithfulness.
