How do we know that Scripture is inspired?

Answered in 2 sources

Scripture is inspired as it is the authoritative word of God, and each part is vital for understanding His will and character.

The inspiration of Scripture can be upheld through the conviction that all parts of the Bible are God-breathed and profitable for teaching and correction (2 Timothy 3:16). In David's accounts, the details of the Ark's transportation emphasize that every instruction from God is important. Just as the priests were to carry the Ark in accordance with God's command, rejecting any part of Scripture as non-essential diminishes our understanding of God's character and will. Each passage, no matter how seemingly minor, plays a role in revealing the majesty and holiness of God, affirming that Scripture is fully inspired and reliable.
