How do we know that singing glorifies God?

Answered in 1 source

Singing glorifies God as it aligns our hearts and voices with the truth of His Word and His grace.

Singing glorifies God because it is an act of worship and response to His divine grace. As stated in Colossians 3:16, believers are encouraged to sing with grace in their hearts to the Lord. This means that our songs should reflect the truths found in God's Word and ascribe all glory to Christ. Furthermore, the act of singing allows us to teach and admonish one another, enhancing our collective worship experience and deepening our understanding of God’s marvelous works. When songs align with the message of scripture, they transform our hearts and elevate our worship to God.
