How do we know that the observance of Jewish holy days is not required for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

The Apostle Paul explicitly states that observance of Jewish holidays is not necessary for Christians, as they have been fulfilled in Christ.

In Galatians 4:10-11, Paul warns the Gentile Christians against returning to the 'weak and beggarly elements' of the Mosaic law, including its holy days. He is concerned that their observance is akin to a form of bondage that distracts from the grace of God. By citing these scriptures, we learn that such days served their purpose during the Old Covenant and do not have a place in the New Covenant relationship that Christians have with Christ. The teachings of Christ and the fulfillment through His sacrifice radically change the way believers relate to these observances.
