How do we know that we will persevere in our faith?

Answered in 1 source

We are assured that genuine believers will persevere because Christ is both the author and finisher of our faith.

In Philippians 1:6, Paul expresses confidence that God will complete the good work He began in us. This assurance rests on the promise that Jesus Christ, who initiated our faith, will sustain it until the end. Our perseverance is ultimately rooted in God's grace; as partakers of this grace, believers can hold fast to the truth that we will not fall away. Additionally, Christ Himself declared that all whom the Father gives Him will come to Him, and He will never lose any of them (John 6:39). This underscores the idea that true faith, bestowed by God, cannot fail.
