How do we know the faith of Christians is genuine?

Answered in 1 source

The sincerity of a Christian's faith is evidenced through their love for one another.

Genuine faith in Christ is often demonstrated through love and good works among believers. As stated in 1 John 3:16-18, true love is expressed not merely in words, but in actions and truth. The Apostle Paul identifies the love that believers have for one another as one of the most significant fruits of their faith, as seen in Colossians 1:4. This love is a work of God’s grace in their hearts, and it authenticates their profession of faith in Christ. Therefore, when Christians exhibit sacrificial, forgiving, and selfless love, it affirms the authenticity of their faith.
