How do we know the importance of Christ in the Scriptures?

Answered in 1 source

The Scriptures testify of Christ, and understanding this is crucial for grasping the gospel.

The Bible is fundamentally about Christ, as reaffirmed through various passages indicating that all of Scripture points to Him. In John 5:39, Jesus Himself stated, 'You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is they that bear witness about me.' To overlook Christ in our study of Scripture leads to misunderstanding and missing the true gospel. Historic Reformed theology emphasizes that Christ must be the central focus of our reading and understanding of the Bible, as He is both the subject and the substance of redemption.
