How do we know the union of Christ with sinners is true?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's union with sinners is established through his incarnation and sacrificial death as the Nazarene.

The belief in Christ's union with sinners stems from the theological understanding that he was born without the corrupt nature that afflicts humanity, yet chose to identify with sinful humanity. As the Nazarene, Jesus was made to bear the sins of his people, actively taking on the judgment due for their transgressions. In his death, he fulfilled all the requirements of the Nazarite vow while also suffering the consequences of sin that he did not personally commit. Thus, he connects with sinners by virtue of his incarnation and the redemptive work on the cross, which offers salvation to all who believe (1 Peter 2:24).
