How do we know we are the sheep of Christ?

Answered in 1 source

We are identified as Christ's sheep when we recognize Him as our Savior and prioritize Him above all else.

From Matthew 25:31-46, the separation of sheep and goats illustrates that those who are truly Christ's sheep are those who have placed their faith in Him and follow His commands. The sheep are characterized by their actions that reflect the love of Christ, serving His brethren—these good works flow from a heart transformed by grace. Moreover, believers often may not remember their acts of service, which reveals their humility and reliance on Christ's righteousness rather than their own merit. This assurance roots in the knowledge that Christ knows His own, and He will acknowledge them on the day of judgment.
