How do we understand Christ's victory over our enemies?

Answered in 1 source

Christ achieved victory over our enemies through His atoning work on the cross, securing our salvation and defeating sin and death.

The victory Christ secured over our enemies is encapsulated in His act on the cross, as outlined in Psalm 9:5-6. By His death and resurrection, Christ defeated Satan and all the spiritual forces arrayed against His people. This victory assures that the power of accusation has been stripped away, as there is now no condemnation for those in Christ (Romans 8:1). The victory not only signifies the end of sin's dominion but also grants believers the confidence to face life's adversities, knowing that their salvation is secured and their enemies have been triumphed over.
