How do we worship God according to the Bible?

Answered in 2 sources

We worship God by coming to Him through faith in Jesus Christ, following the prescribed ways outlined in Scripture.

According to Scripture, genuine worship involves approaching God in accordance with His prescribed methods, which involve faith in Christ alone. Leviticus illustrates that the sacrifices were intended to point us to Christ, teaching us to depend solely on His merit for acceptance with God. Worship is rooted in recognizing our sinfulness and our complete need for Christ’s righteousness. True worshippers, as stated in John 4:24, must worship in spirit and truth, meaning that our worship is not merely about rituals but about the heartfelt acknowledgment of God’s holiness and our reliance on Christ's finished work for communion with God. Worship, thus, is an act of humble submission and reverence, offering ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to Him.
