How does Christ's freedom differ from false liberty?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's freedom guides us towards righteousness, unlike false liberty, which is an excuse for sin.

True freedom in Christ empowers believers to live in accordance with God's will, fostering righteousness and holiness. In contrast, false liberty is often characterized by antinomianism, where individuals believe they can sin without consequence simply because they are under grace. This misunderstanding leads to moral confusion and the denial of the transformative nature of God's grace. The reality is that while Christians are liberated from the law's condemnation, they are called to a life that reflects God's character. True liberty does not provide a license for sin; instead, it liberates us to live for the glory of God and fulfill our calling as His children.
