How does God's grace enable us to fulfill His commandments?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace empowers believers to both will and act according to His commandments through the Holy Spirit.

In Deuteronomy 8 and in the New Testament, we see that God's commandments are impossible to fulfill in our own strength. However, His grace equips and enables us to obey Him. In the New Covenant, it is by God's sovereign grace that we are given faith, repentance, and a new nature that desires to follow Christ. This supernatural work of the Holy Spirit transforms our hearts, allowing us to delight in God's commandments and genuinely love one another, thus fulfilling the law of love given by Christ.
