How does God save us from our depravity?

Answered in 1 source

God saves us through His grace by the finished work of Christ on the cross.

God's saving work, rooted in grace, is characterized by Christ's fulfillment of the law and His atoning sacrifice. Total depravity renders humanity unable to rescue themselves, thus highlighting the need for a Savior. Jesus came as the second Adam, perfectly keeping the law and offering Himself as a substitute for our sins. This work was successful, securing the salvation of all whom the Father has given to Him. His resurrection and exaltation affirm that all who believe in Him are justified and granted new life. This salvation is purely of grace, ensuring that no human effort or merit plays a role.
