How does God view worship from His people?

Answered in 1 source

God desires worship that is truthful and offered by those who have been cleansed by His grace.

Worship is defined in the Bible as acknowledging the worth of Christ and is considered acceptable to God when it is offered in truth and with a pure heart. In 1 Peter 2, the emphasis is placed on the fact that true worshipers are those who have been cleansed by the grace of God. The idea is that without the transformation that comes from Christ, worship can become just a performance devoid of true significance. God seeks worship that reflects His glory and is aligned with the reality of the believer’s relationship with Him, enabling believers to offer spiritual sacrifices that are pleasing to Him.
