How does the Holy Spirit provide assurance to believers?

Answered in 1 source

The Holy Spirit gives assurance by reminding believers of Christ’s completed work and our identity in Him.

The Holy Spirit acts as our Comforter and guide, assuring us of our salvation and reminding us of the truths of Scripture. As per John 16:13-14, the Spirit leads us into all truth and glorifies Christ. This work includes revealing our identity as God's chosen people and reminding us of our peace in Christ, established by His work of righteousness. This internal assurance fosters a deep sense of security, as believers recognize that it is the Holy Spirit who is at work within them, cultivating faith and trust in God’s promises.
