How does the Holy Spirit work in the life of a believer?

Answered in 7 sources

The Holy Spirit works in the life of a believer by renewing their inner man and enabling them to live according to God's will.

The Holy Spirit plays a vital role in the life of every believer, primarily by effecting transformation and sanctification. As outlined in Romans 8:11, the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells within believers, quickening their mortal bodies and renewing their inward man. Through the preaching of the Gospel and the power of the Spirit, believers are enabled to recognize their identity in Christ, which empowers them to confront sin and resist the inclinations of their flesh. The Holy Spirit also intercedes for believers, helping them to pray according to God's will, which deepens their relationship with the Father and leads them to experience His continual love and guidance throughout their lives.
