How is the church related to the kingdom of God?

Answered in 1 source

The church serves as the visible manifestation of the kingdom of God, functioning under His authority and as a community of His subjects.

The relationship between the church and the kingdom of God is foundational in biblical theology. The church acts as the ekklesia, or 'called-out ones,' who embody the kingdom through their collective worship and mission. Without the church, the kingdom is not visibly demonstrated on earth, although it exists independently of it. The church's role is to reflect the values and attributes of the kingdom—such as love, service, and commitment to righteousness—thus showing to the world what life under Christ’s lordship entails. It is within the context of the church that believers are strengthened and equipped to live out their commitment to God's kingdom.
