What does it mean to be kept in God's hand?

Answered in 1 source

Being kept in God's hand signifies His protection and security over our lives as believers.

Psalm 31:8 illustrates that believers are not shut up in the hand of the enemy but are securely held in God's hand. This imagery evokes a sense of safety and protection. In 1 Samuel 25, Abigail describes being bound in the bundle of life with the Lord our God. This means that we, as His children, are safeguarded from the powers of darkness and the trials of life. Knowing we are held securely by God assures us that nothing can separate us from His love and care, as Romans 8:38-39 underscores that neither life nor death can sever this bond.
