What does the Bible say about asking God for help?

Answered in 4 sources

The Bible encourages us to ask God, but we should seek His greater spiritual gifts rather than only temporal needs.

Scripture teaches that God is able to do far more than we ask or think, as seen in Ephesians 3:20. Many believers limit their requests to temporal needs, forgetting the abundance of spiritual blessings God offers. When we pray, we should strive to seek not just daily bread and material comforts, but also the richer, eternal gifts that nourish our souls. God, in His infinite wisdom, desires for us to ask for more than mere earthly sustenance, inviting us into a deeper relationship with Him that encompasses His full treasure of grace and spiritual abundance.
