What does the Bible say about being created for good works?

Ephesians 2:10 states, 'For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.' This verse clarifies that while we do not achieve salvation through works, good works are an essential result of being saved. They are the evidence of faith and a transformed life. Created anew in Christ, believers are equipped by the Holy Spirit to produce fruit that glorifies God. Good works are not just actions but expressions of our new identity in Christ, demonstrating the reality of our faith and glorifying God in our daily lives (Matthew 5:16). Thus, although we are not saved by works, we are certainly saved for works.
