What does the Bible say about believing in Jesus for eternal life?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that believing in Jesus Christ is essential for eternal life, as stated in John 3:14-15.

In John 3:14-15, Jesus tells Nicodemus, 'As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.' This passage illustrates the necessity of faith in Christ for salvation. Just as the Israelites needed to look at the bronze serpent to be healed, we must look to Jesus and believe in Him to receive eternal life. It is a direct call to recognize our spiritual condition, acknowledging that we are bitten by sin and only through faith in Christ can we find healing and eternal life.
