What does the Bible say about blessing and cursing?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that God sets before humanity the choice between blessing (life) and cursing (death), rooted in obedience and disobedience.

In Scripture, particularly in Genesis, blessing and cursing are fundamental themes that illustrate God's favor and disfavor. In Genesis 2, God places Adam in the Garden of Eden with the command to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, promising life through obedience and death through disobedience. This sets the stage for the choice that all humanity faces: to align with God's will and receive His abundant mercy or to rebel and face His judgment.
