What does the Bible say about God's people being needy?

Answered in 1 source

God makes His people needy to draw them to Him and provide for their needs.

In Exodus 1, we see a clear picture of God’s people, represented by the sons of Jacob, becoming needy. This neediness is purposeful; it reflects God's sovereignty in orchestrating circumstances that lead His people to rely on Him. Throughout scripture, God continually reminds His people of His redemptive acts and His ability to deliver them. Our spiritual neediness is essential as it drives us to seek Him for life and sustenance, exemplifying His mercy and grace in our lives.
