What does the Bible say about grace and glory?

Answered in 8 sources

The Bible teaches that God gives grace and glory as inseparable gifts to His elect, promising that no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11).

The Scripture declares in Psalm 84:11 that the LORD will give grace and glory to His people, emphasizing that both gifts are from God and cannot be earned or merited by human effort. Grace is the beginning of the Christian life, a free gift that includes salvation, forgiveness, and the sustaining power necessary for a believer's walk. Glory, on the other hand, represents the eternal state of perfected being and the fulfillment of God's promises in heaven. While grace is a gift given during our earthly existence, glory awaits us in the afterlife as a result of God’s sovereign purposes and the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
