What does the Bible say about keeping our eyes on Jesus?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible encourages believers to focus on Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith, especially during trials.

The Scriptures consistently call us to focus our attention on Jesus Christ, particularly as we navigate the storms of life. In Matthew 14:22-33, when Peter walked on water, his ability to remain above the waves was directly tied to his focus on Christ. As soon as Peter shifted his gaze to the chaotic winds and waves, he began to sink. This illustrates that our faith does not waver when we keep our eyes on the Savior, who is sovereign over all circumstances. The chaotic world, filled with turmoil and uncertainty, serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of maintaining our focus on Him.
