What does the Bible say about Mt. Zion?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that Mt. Zion represents our access to God through Christ, contrasting with the fear and legal demands of Mt. Sinai.

According to Hebrews 12:18-24, Mt. Zion symbolizes the newfound freedom and access believers have to God through faith in Jesus Christ. Unlike Mt. Sinai, which was a place of fear and condemnation, Mt. Zion represents the city of the living God where believers are united in communion with Him. Here, we are not subjected to the demands of the law but enjoy the grace of God made available through Christ's sacrifice, allowing us to approach Him with confidence (Hebrews 4:16).
