What does the Bible say about peace and joy?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that joy is found in the peace established by the blood of Christ, which reconciles us to God.

Proverbs 12:20-21 highlights the contrast between the deceitful heart plotting evil and the joy experienced by the counselors of peace. This joy is rooted in the reconciliation that Christ achieved through His sacrifice, offering believers a state of being at peace with God. True joy, therefore, comes from understanding the grace that God has extended to us, allowing us to rejoice in our restored relationship with Him, free from guilt and condemnation.
