What does the Bible say about the end of afflictions?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible assures that all afflictions end in God's timing, ultimately leading to eternal joy in heaven.

Scripture teaches that the afflictions of believers will have a termination, as emphasized in Romans 8:18, where it states, 'the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.' This reflects the promise that while trials may last throughout this life, they will come to an end either in this world or the next. Additionally, 2 Corinthians 4:17 notes that 'our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far exceeding and eternal weight of glory.' Thus, Christians can have confidence that their suffering is not in vain and will ultimately lead to eternal blessings.
