What does the Bible teach about same-sex unions?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible does not recognize same-sex unions as legitimate marriages, as marriage is defined as a union between one man and one woman.

Biblically, marriage is defined as a covenantal relationship ordained by God between one man and one woman, as evidenced in Genesis 2:24. Any sexual union outside of this sacred definition, including same-sex unions, contradicts Scriptural teachings and the created order established by God. In addition, passages like Romans 1:26-27 unequivocally describe same-sex relations as contrary to God's design, labeling them as unnatural and shameful. Thus, from a biblical perspective, while society may attempt to redefine marriage, genuine marriage according to the Scriptures remains exclusively heterosexual.
