What is the grace of giving?

Answered in 1 source

The grace of giving refers to the divine enablement and joy that believers experience when they give generously.

The grace of giving is described in 2 Corinthians 8:1-7, where Paul recounts the extraordinary generosity exhibited by the churches in Macedonia despite their own poverty. This grace allows believers to give beyond their means, prompted by joyful hearts and a desire to serve others. It reflects a deeper spiritual reality: that our ability to give is not merely our own but is enabled by God's grace working in us. Through this grace, giving becomes a joyful act of worship and an expression of our love for God and neighbor. In essence, when we give out of grace, we participate in God's work and align ourselves with His mission.
