What makes Jesus our mediator?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is our mediator because He represents both God and humanity, reconciling us to the Father through His sacrifice.

Jesus serves as our mediator by fulfilling both divine and human roles perfectly. As fully God, He has the authority and power to bring reconciliation. As fully man, He represents us before God, enduring the punishment we deserve for our sins. This mediatory role is highlighted in passages like 1 Timothy 2:5, which states there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus. His continual intercession for His people ensures that they are maintained in their salvation, reminding them that they are eternally secure in Him.
