What should be the mindset of a Christian when judging fellow believers?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should approach judgment with humility and self-examination rather than a critical attitude.

When addressing issues within the body of Christ, Christians are called to first reflect on their own faults before pointing out the shortcomings of others, as taught in Matthew 7:3-5. Jesus uses humor in His teaching by comparing a tiny speck in a brother's eye to a larger beam in our own. This analogy underscores the need for self-awareness and humility when considering the faults of others. Disciples are encouraged to examine themselves, recognizing that we all fall short of perfect righteousness and requiring the same grace we hope to see in others. This will ensure that any correction offered is done with love, meekness, and awareness of our shared need for mercy.
