Assurance is crucial for Christians because it provides confidence in Christ, affirming that He is able to keep believers secure in their salvation.

Assurance brings peace and stability to the believer, moving away from self-confidence to confidence in Christ alone. In 2 Timothy 1:12, Paul explains that his assurance lies in the faithfulness of Christ to guard what has been entrusted to Him. True assurance stems from understanding the work of Christ; it is not based on our own feelings or performance, but on the promise that He who began a good work in us will complete it. This confidence strengthens faith and encourages believers to rest in the sufficiency of Christ for their salvation.
