Why is Christ considered the only way to find acceptance with God?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is the sole mediator through whom sinners find acceptance with God, as He has accomplished redemption through His sacrifice.

In the context of Isaiah 60, acceptance comes only through Christ, who is portrayed as God's altar. Hebrews 13:10-12 reinforces this by stating that we have an altar from which those who serve in the old covenant have no right to eat. It is through His sacrificial death that Christ sanctifies His people, making them acceptable to God. Only through faith in Christ can anyone stand justified before God, meaning that acceptance is inseparable from our relationship with Jesus, who bore our sins and reconciled us to the Father.
