Why is Christ's holiness important for Christians?

Answered in 4 sources

Christ's holiness is vital for Christians as it represents our acceptance before God and assures our standing as justified believers.

Christ’s holiness is foundational for Christians because it is through His holiness that we find our acceptance before a holy God. Rev. 3 refers to Christ as 'the Holy One,' affirming that He alone possesses holiness in perfection. His holiness is what makes Him our Mediator, as He presents His righteousness to the Father on our behalf. For believers, understanding that holiness is imputed to us through Christ’s perfect obedience offers profound comfort and assurance. Without acknowledging Christ's holiness, we could not hope to stand justified before God, as all our righteousness is derived from Him.
