Why is faith important for overcoming worry?

Answered in 1 source

Faith allows us to trust in God's control and provision, alleviating our worries about the future (Hebrews 11:1).

Faith is critical in overcoming worry because it anchors us in the belief that God is sovereign and in control of all circumstances. Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things not seen. When we recognize that our lives are held securely in God's hands, it provides us with peace amidst chaos. Furthermore, Scripture teaches that faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17), which instructs us, comforts us, and reassures us of His promises. Participating in fellowship and worship reinforces our faith, enabling us to face worries with a calm spirit.
