Why is faith without works dead according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

Faith without works is considered dead because true faith naturally produces good works as a demonstration of that belief.

James 2:19 illustrates that even demons believe, yet they do not have saving faith, which is evidenced by works. A genuine faith affects our lives; it manifests in actions that align with that belief. As shown in the sermon, true faith in Christ leads not only to a personal acceptance of Him but also results in a transformed life evidenced by good works. These works are not the basis of salvation but rather the fruit of a living faith. Hence, they follow believers to validate the authenticity of their faith as seen in Revelation 14:13—'Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord; their works do follow them.' Our actions in this life reveal the sincerity of our claims about faith.
