Why is it important for Christians to be taught of God?

Christians must be taught of God to fully understand their position and identity in Christ. This is evident in John 6:45, where Jesus says, 'They shall all be taught of God.' Such teaching allows believers to grasp their need for salvation, the nature of God, and their relationship with Christ.
