Why is it important that Christ is our prophet?

Answered in 1 source

Christ as our prophet is vital because He reveals God to us, providing the only true knowledge necessary for salvation.

The significance of Christ being our prophet cannot be overstated. He is the only means through which we can come to know God, as stated in John 1:18, where it says, 'the only begotten Son... He hath declared Him.' Without the revelation brought forth by Christ, we would have no understanding of who God is or how to relate to Him. This knowledge is essential for salvation, as it is through faith in what He has declared that we come into a correct relationship with God. In a world filled with false teachings and confusion about God's nature, the clear and unambiguous communication from Christ our prophet is a great blessing to believers.
