Why is it important to look to Jesus in the race of faith?

In running the race of faith, focusing on Jesus is indispensable. He is both the author and the finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). This means that our faith originates from Him and is sustained by Him throughout our Christian journey. Believers must continually look to Jesus for strength and assurance, particularly in challenging times when doubts and distractions arise. By keeping our eyes on Christ, we are reminded of His finished work, which allows us to press on with confidence despite the obstacles we face.
