Why is it important to pray through Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Praying through Christ is essential because only His intercession makes our prayers acceptable to God.

The importance of praying through Christ is rooted in the belief that He is our mediator. 1 Peter 2:5 states that we are to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. This means that our prayers, however feeble or imperfect, are transformed into acceptable offerings when presented in the name of Jesus. He intercedes for us, translating our groans and sighs into requests that God hears and answers. This reflects the believer's reliance on Christ for access to God, recognizing that apart from Him, we have no right to approach the throne of grace.
